- require medication after hours to speed up recovery
- are house-bound and unable to leave home to go to an emergency department.
- don't want to sit for hours on end waiting in line at emergency departments for after hours medical treatment
- suffer from chronic conditions that require access to 24 hour care
- prefer to see an after hours Deputising General Practitioner at home rather than mobilising the whole family to an emergency department

How to Subscribe
To become a member, please complete the Membership Application Form and:
- Fax your details to Family Care Friendly Society on (07) 3835 1012, or
- Post your details to Family Care Friendly Society, PO Box 528, Spring Hill 4004 Or alternatively, call us on 1300 883 698 to join over the phone.
To book a Doctor's house call phone 13 SICK - that's 13 7425 - during the following periods:
- Monday to Friday: 4pm to 8am
- Saturday: 10am onwards
- Sundays: All Day
- Public Holidays: All Day
How the Service Works
When you need a doctor after hours, simply:
- Call us on 13 SICK or 13 7425 and notify the operator that you are a member of the Family Care Friendly Society.
- Provide your contact number and have your Family Care Friendly Society membership number and Medicare card number ready.
- An experienced General Practitioner will visit you at home as soon as possible.
- If your General Practitioner is also a member of the Family Care Friendly Society, he/she will receive an electronic copy of your patient report ensuring your medical record remains up to date.
