The Hon Mike Ahern A.O. - Chairman
Hon. Michael J Ahern, AO, is the Chairman of the Board of the Family Care Friendly Society. Mr Ahern is a former Queensland Health Minister and Premier of Queensland. He has been Chairman of the Friendly Society since its inception in October 1997. Mr Ahern is also Chairman of the Board of the Australian Liver Foundation.
The Hon Dr David Hamill A.M. - Deputy Chairman
Hon. Dr David Hamill, AM is the Deputy Chairman of the Family Care Friendly Society. Dr Hamill is a former treasurer of Queensland and has been a Director on the Family Care Friendly Society Board since October 2004.
Dr Beres Wenck MBBS FAMA - Director
Dr Beres Wenck MBBS, FAMA, is a General Practitioner based in Brisbane and Director of the Board since October 2000. She is interested in all aspects of General Practice and has particular skills in paediatrics, aged care and counselling.
Dr Wenck is a past President of AMA Queensland and past President of Brisbane North Division of General Practice. Dr Wenck is a Medical Director of a Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre and two large national aged care research trials. Presently she is on the Board of Health Promotion Queensland, Q Comp and MDA National.

Mr Stuart Tait - Director
Stuart Tait is the CEO of Family Care Medical Services and has been a Director on the Family Care Friendly Society Board since October 2001. Mr Tait is also the President of the National Association for Medical Deputising Australia (NAMDS), which is the peak body representing after-hours medical deputising services in Australia.
Mrs Natalie Petrakis - Managing Director
Natalie Petrakis has been a Director of the Society since February 2010 and is the Chief Operations Officer of Family Care Medical Services. Previously, Ms Petrakis was Chief Operating Officer of Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL).
Mrs Isabel Myburgh - Marketing Director
Isabel Myburgh has been Director on the Family Care Friendly Society Board since June 2009. Isabel is a Marketing Graduate from the University of Pretoria, with a double Masters Degree in Marketing Management and Financial Management.
Mrs Lisa Ashurst - Company Secretary
Mrs Lisa Ashurst has been Company Secretary of the Family Care Friendly Society since November 2009. Mrs Ashurst is also Company Secretary of Family Care Medical Services and Executive Assistant to the CEO.
